World War II Bombing of Germany

During World War II, 2,700,000 tons (1,227,000 kilos) of bombs were dropped on Germany, killing 300,000 people, and seriously injuring 780,000 more. If cars were dropped from the sky instead, by weight the equivalent number of cars would be 1,800,000. Altogether, Germany lost almost 12 million people.
